SILENT TEARS

I have grown to isolate myself from people.

I am the type of daughter who had to crave independence at a young age.

I have a lot to say, but who will listen?

I am only mentioned when something bad has happened.

I had adopted so many coping mechanisms just to live in a delusional world.

I try at times…

I am not perfect by any means.

I face a lot… suicide is always on my to-do list.

I am at the verge of giving up on myself and life.

Assumptions about first-born daughters being strong and able to handle anything should stop.

At times I wish someone could just tell me, “You’ve got this.”

That when everything fails, he/she will stand by me.

I wish they saw the silent tears I cry every single night…

I wish they saw the pain, the trauma I have to endure…

If I never make it, this poem should encourage you to keep thriving, no matter what.

Pull yourself together…

You got this. I believe in you. I trust your judgment.

I will be here waiting, ready to hug and clap for you.

Do yourself proud…

I wish someone would see beyond my silence,

Understand the battles I fight within.

Acknowledge the weight on my shoulders,

And the courage it takes to keep going.

Every day is a struggle,

But I hold on to hope,

That one day, my efforts will be recognized,

And my pain will not be in vain.

To anyone feeling the same,

Know that you are not alone.

Your strength is admirable,

Your resilience is inspiring.

Keep pushing forward,

Even when the world feels heavy.

You are worthy of love,

And you deserve to be heard.

Remember, in your darkest moments,

You have the power to rise.

Embrace your journey,

For it is yours to conquer.

Silent tears speak volumes,

And your story matters.

Keep thriving,

For you are stronger than you know.
